This uncirculated 5 Canadian dollar banknote is dated 2013 and signed by Bank of Canada Deputy Governor Carolyn A. Wilkins and Governor Stephen Poloz. The note is part of the Polymer Issues that the Bank of Canada circulated from 2011 to 2013 and featured pioneers. It has a blue and green color scheme and measures 152 mm long and 70 mm wide. Its obverse side shows a maple leaf and Wilfrid Laurier, the 7th Prime Minister of Canada. Its reverse side shows an astronaut above Canada looking at the stars, Canadarm2, and Dextre. Though the note does not have a security thread or a watermark, it has a holographic stripe with Wilfrid Laurier and the tower of West Block of Parliament in Ottawa.
